Two New Breakfast Ideas That Will Change How You Fuel


The toaster is a big number one new idea piece sweet potato. But if you can top a piece of vegetables and delicious ingredients, why not a flat red pepper, a full potobello, an eggplant or cauliflower steak?

Start With Your ‘Toast’

Prepare your “toast” with a toaster or oven. We baked ours in a 450-degree oven and the cauliflower took about 10 minutes and the sweet potato about 20. For the cauliflower, we topped with a small bed of arugula and a poached egg (directions below). For the sweet potato, we added goat cheese and sprinkled with chervil. Just about any toast will be better with a drizzle of olive oil, salt and pepper—and serve with a fork and knife.

Make Your Poached Egg

A medium-sized stew pot is filled with six inches of deep water and a low boiling point. Add half a cup of white vinegar and reduce the heat enough to stop boiling. Carefully cracked eggs do not break the egg yolk little mold. Whirlpool water treatment of wooden spoon, forming a whirlpool. Carefully poured into the whirlpool eggs, cook until the white form, about 5 minutes. The colander takes the poached egg and removes excess water in a paper towel-lined plate. You can boil water in advance and reheat.
